Modern Studies of Geographical Systems

The purpose of the event is to unite Russian and foreign researchers of geographical systems to increase the authority of knowledge and science, to determine the role of research in scientific schools of the geographical faculty of Perm University in the development of the foundations of rational environmental management. Master classes by leading geographers will be held as a part of the scientific and practical conference.

We are pleased to invite you to the round table «Modern study of geographical systems» organized by the Faculty of Geography at Perm State University (Perm, Russia). The round table will be held 26 October, 2022 within the International Perm Forum «SCIENCE AND GLOBAL CHALLENGES OF THE 21ST CENTURY» (Perm State University, Perm, Russia, October 24–29, 2022). Due to the pandemic, it will be held in an online format.

The round table is aimed at discussing interdisciplinary research and the application of information technologies in the study of geographical systems, exchanging experience and finding solutions to modern global problems.
We welcome scholars, teachers, early-stage researchers, public officials as well as developers of information resources and IT industry to participate in the event.

Call for papers. Articles in English, 7-15 pages, approved by peer-reviewers and meeting the requirements of Springer Proceedings Guidelines for Authors, will be published in the book series «Smart Innovation, Systems and Technologies», submitted for indexing in Scopus, and located in the SpringerLink digital library. All submissions will be evaluated for relevance, originality, importance, and clarity, and will undergo double-blind peer review. Any author can submit no more than two articles and a group of authors can consist of no more than six people.
Once articles are accepted for publication, authors must complete a publication consent form and pay the registration fee. The link to the download area, the publication consent form, and information about the registration fee will be provided on the website and forum groups in social networks.
Registration fee. For participants planning to publish a paper in Springer the registration fee is RUB 20 000 (per author or group of authors). The registration fee is paid after the paper has been accepted for publication and the publication agreement has been signed.

  1. Application: April 20, 2022
  2. Paper Submission: 1 pm (Moscow time) April 22, 2022.
  3. Notification of Acceptance: 1 pm (Moscow time) June 20, 2022.
  4. Camera-ready Submission and Publication Consent Form Submission: 1 pm (Moscow time) July 22, 2022
  5. Paying the registration fee and signing the author’s agreement, to ensure the inclusion of an accepted paper in the conference proceedings: October 14, 2022.
